Most car crashes around Indianapolis happen somewhere ordinary: a stop-and-go backup on I-465, a left turn across Keystone Avenue, a strip-mall lot on US 31. One second of someone else's inattention and you're dealing with pain, a car in the shop, and an adjuster whose job is to pay as little as possible.

Crashes we help with
- Rear-end crashes in rush-hour backups and at stoplights
- Left-turn and T-bone crashes at busy intersections
- Sideswipes and late lane changes near interstate exits
- Work-zone crashes
- Hit-and-run crashes and drivers with no insurance

How fault is decided in Indiana
Indiana uses modified comparative fault (IC 34-51-2). If you are found more than half at fault, you generally can't recover. At half or less, your recovery drops by your share. Expect questions like "How fast were you going?" from the other driver's insurer, and don't guess at answers.
Indiana also bars holding or using a phone while driving a moving vehicle, other than hands-free use and emergencies (IC 9-21-8-59). If the other driver was on a phone, that can matter.
Insurance limits run out fast
Indiana's minimum liability limits are $25,000 for one person's injuries, $50,000 per crash for injuries, and $25,000 for property damage (IC 9-25-4-5). A serious injury can use that up quickly. Your own uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage may fill part of the gap. See dealing with insurance companies.
