Noblesville is the Hamilton County seat. The historic courthouse square anchors downtown, and the county's courts are a block away. The city mixes old downtown streets with new neighborhoods and fast-moving highways.
Roads to watch
- SR 37, carrying commuters south to Fishers and Indianapolis. Interchanges replaced the stoplights in Fishers, and Noblesville is planning a similar project for the signals between 146th Street and SR 32, so expect more changes.
- SR 32 (Conner Street) through downtown and across the White River
- Downtown streets around the square, with parking, walkers and tight turns
Concert nights
Summer shows at Ruoff Music Center put thousands of cars on the same roads at the same time. Expect heavy traffic, people walking along the shoulders, and impaired drivers after shows.
Who handles your crash
Usually the Noblesville Police Department in the city, the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office in unincorporated areas, and sometimes the Indiana State Police on state highways.
Courts
If a Hamilton County case is ever filed, it is heard at the Government and Judicial Center, 1 Hamilton County Square, in Noblesville.
